Their Challenge
BT Trucking came to Saritasa with an ambitious vision and a prototype of a construction hauling coordination app. The concept was “Uber for construction jobs”, allowing contractors to request truck services and independent drivers to claim those jobs in real-time. BT Trucking worked with another developer to build the prototype, but were unsatisfied with the final product. The solution was buggy, lacked critical functionality, and low quality. They needed a professional development team to step in and take over.
Our Solution
After reviewing the existing codebase, we determined the app needed a rewrite from the ground up in order to deliver on the client’s expectations. The new Haulink platform streamlines construction hauling logistics. It coordinates real-time job matching between contractors and truckers, with backend tools for managing hours, route tracking, and automated invoicing. We worked closely with BT Trucking throughout the development process, translating their industry expertise into a scalable solution they eventually sold.

What Saritasa Did
Cross-Platform Development
We rebuilt the Haulink platform as a responsive web app using Python and Angular. Both contractors and independent drivers can access the system from any device. The platform supports real-time job posting and acceptance across over 20 truck categories, from concrete haulers to trash removal vehicles.
Logistics & Route Tracking
GPS-based live tracking and a Google Maps integration enables contractors to monitor trucks in real time. The system logs driver locations and compares actual routes to expected destinations, identifying delays or deviations. This helps determine whether issues like traffic or unscheduled stops affect job timelines or billing responsibilities.
Anonymous Communication
We added an anonymous calling system that allows contractors and drivers to communicate without sharing personal contact information. This protects privacy while keeping logistics efficient and transparent.
Driver Backend & Automation
Drivers have access to a backend portal that logs work hours, routes, and job details automatically. The system integrates with Salesforce to manage invoicing and with DocuSign to ensure compliance during the driver onboarding process.
