Services
Their Challenge
Every individual Changing the Faces of Homelessness helps needs to fill out forms for the organization to keep track of their case. Up until now, every form was physical and paper-based, requiring manual filing. The process was cumbersome and inefficient, requiring tedious labor to track down individual records and create reports. The organization needed to find a better way to intake, track, and manage their records.
Our Solution
Saritasa worked closely with Changing the Faces of Homelessness to identify their pain points, including: inefficient intake forms, manual reporting, and paper-based record-keeping. Our goal was to simplify their processes, improve record-keeping, and enhance their reporting capabilities while staying within a limited budget.
Our Approach
What Saritasa Did
Lean Development
Understanding that Changing the Faces of Homelessness is a nonprofit that relies on grants and donations, Saritasa worked closely with the organization to design and develop a lean web app to address their needs within the confines of their limited budget.
Reporting Functionality
Changing the Faces of Homelessness runs on grants and other sources of government funding. Many of these funding sources require quarterly reports to update how the funding was spent. We built in reporting and analytics tools to make it easier for the organization to organize those reports.
Simple UI/UX
Simplicity was the key for getting this system designed and developed within budget. We were careful to operate and build as lean as possible, without sacrificing useability on the user-side as we took the organization’s five main paper forms and adapted them for tablets.
Multiple User Types
The system requires two distinct user roles with unique permissions. An admin controls records assigned to them. This allows the case workers to keep records for the individuals they work with up to date with all relevant information. Meanwhile, a Super Admin controls the entire system and can view and edit any record.
